Today is the International day for Disaster Reduction, and so, it is but fitting that we are holding on this day this special Lifelong Forum on the subject, to include emergency preparedness and crisis management. We are fortunate to have Chairman Emeritus Oscar Lopez to keynote today’s event.

There’s no stopping Lopez Lifelong Wellness, a subsidiary of the Lopez Group Foundation, Inc. from propagating the wellness philosophy as it celebrated Walk the Talk’s 4th year anniversary last September 18, 2010 at the La Mesa Nature Reserve in Quezon City. Over 400 hundred Lopez employees including their family members and friends attended the annual wellness event, this time around, sponsored by Energy Development Corporation (EDC).
5th Lopez Lifelong Wellness Invitational Basketball Tournament

The 5th Lifelong Invitational Basketball Tournament successfully opened last Saturday, July 24, 2010 at the Fr. Cortina Sports Center of Xavier School in Greenhills, San Juan Metro Manila. This year, fifteen (15) companies including PLDT, a guest company, joined the tournament. As in previous years, the tournament is divided into two (2) divisions. Division A is composed of 6 teams plus the guest team while Division B has 8 teams.

Despite the muddy trail, over a hundred plus participants still enjoyed the 8-kilometer walk led by Chairman Emeritus Oscar M. Lopez along with his daughter, Rina Lopez-Bautista and company heads, Dr. Art De Guia of First Philec and Galo Garde of First Philippine Industrial Corporation (FPIC).

Lopez Lifelong Badminton Tournament 2010

The Lopez Group Foundation, Inc. and Lopez Lifelong Wellness 2010 Badminton Tournament was successfully staged on May 15 at Club 650. A total of 90 pairs participated this season. The nine companies that were represented were Bayantel (22 pairs), Benpres (14 pairs), EDC (12 pairs), First Balfour (3), First Gen (1 pair), Knowledge Channel (4 pairs), Meralco (11 pairs), Rockwell (11 pairs), and Skycable (12 pairs).
