A Chess Open is presently being considered as part of Lifelong's effort to
elevate to the consciousness the need for mental / intellectual wellness apart
from our physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
The tournament being contemplated will be open to Lopez Group employees, male
and female, rated or unrated. Lifelong is fortunate to have the support of
Grandmaster Eugene Torre and the National Chess Federation (NCF) Executive
Director Samuel Estimo.
If the feedback indicates widespread interest to warrant the holding of a
Chess Open, the NCF will sanction the tournament and rate the players based
on their performance. Participation in this tournament will hopefully contribute
to employee wellness and help instill Lifelong as a "way of life."
